I have been diagnosed with mono at the age of 18, and less than 6 months later I was diagnosed with lyme's disease. I was also informed I was anemic as well. Still to this day I have muscle ache's and pains and pretty moderate to severe fatigue. I can sleep for 12 hours or 5 hours and I am still tired and lagging the whole day. I have been tested for lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. and they have all come back negative. I have since given up getting my blood taken because I was going to the doctor every other week and being told "I'm fine", "you need to be more active", "take some vitamins". However, even with trying to mentally and physically ignore my fatigue and symptoms it has become more and more difficult. Too add to my list of problems this past year I have had to go to a gastrointestinal doctor where I was diagnosed with IBS, and had to go to the ER for a severe case of vertigo. I also noticed that some of my hair is thinning and has been falling out on a regular basis, my muscles have been tiring easily, my appetite is all over the place. And I am pretty much at a loss for what to do. I have been researching for 2 years of what could possibly be the cause of all of this. Prior to catching mono, I rarely was sick and never in my life was I this tired and unmotivated. I am pretty much sick of people telling me that I'm fine and it's in my head, because I do not believe this is the case.
