Ok my daugher is 13 now she has had problems with bladder infections all her life , In the beginning when it all started they would go to the kidneys , kidney reflux they said in time this would stop as she grew taller and the tubes to her kidneys would get longer . They were right about this but, the bladder infections have been constant since , it's like she gets done with an antibiotic and in a couple of days she has a bladder infection again they have had her on profolatic antibiotics to prevent infections and after awhile she becomes resistant to that antibiotic . She has see top urologists and had surgery when they did the surgery they thought that maybe her uterers were not closing all the way to her kidneys but this was not the case, one part of her bladder was inflamed and her uretha was half the length it should be but the urologist felt like this was not what was causing the infections . They are not always e-coli some of the infections are kinda like superbugs . the urologist said there was nothing else they could do and refered us to infectious desease but my daughters primary and i decided to go to GI doctor first she has had problems with severe constapation so, we do meralax 2 times a day but still the infections come . does anyone have any idea of what would cause the infections ? We have gone through all the ....yes she wipes correctly , no she does not hold her urine, etc.....I have gotten tired of those questions because since she has been little she learned never to wipe in the wrong direction . Any advice would be appriciated everyone we talk to say she is a unique case . We are now waiting for an appointment for infectious desease. Anyone ever heard of anyone having this problem ?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
