Here is a list of my symptoms.
** I have had a very mild tremor in my left hand for about 2 years (I really only notice it when I hold a mirror or a glass of water in that hand).
** For about 6 months one side of my thumb on my left hand went 100% numb, it is now only about 2-3% numb.
** I noticed very mild stiffness in the thumbs of both my hands on and off for about a month. Haven't noticed it now for a few months.
** When I lay down to sleep at night and am in very relaxed state I get twitches/movement in my fingers, leg, foot, and/or arm. This has only really bothered me for about the last week where it's been happening about 6 times or so before I fall asleep. Before that I only noticed it happened maybe once or twice a night.
** The last few nights when laying down to sleep I've also noticed intermittant and very mild tingling (pins & needles) in my fingers or toes. Like only one pin poking at it. Extremely mild.
I went to my regular doctor who sent me to a neurologist. She did a neurological exam and some blood tests but everything came back fine. Because of my twitches I do have a follow up appt. in six months with her. The twitches are really concerning me and I don't want to wait six months. What tests should I ask her to perform now?
I also recently went to a naturpathic doctor who thought my B-Vitamin Complex might be overkill. So I am now only taking the B vitamins that I get from my multi-vitamin and my bone formula supplement. I also am a hyperthyroid (been diagnosed for 17 years and take PTU). It is extremely well controlled and all recent tests are fine so the tremor is not due to that.
