Hi, I am new to this site and not even sure if I have posted in correct place . I wondered if anyone can shed any light on my symptoms as I feel like I have been back and forward to GPs and continually in pain and moaning!

Symptoms include: Shooting pains in arms and legs, especially hands and feet, Pain in right hip, pain in left neck and shoulder. This pain is constant and worse at night and first thing in morning. have began to notice a sweet horrible taste in mouth and have some memory lapses.Could sleep constantly and have feelings of depression recently!

Recently bloodtests have shown slightly high CRP? Have had tests for diabetes which were neg.

Also have some bowel problems. Sorry this all seems a bit random. Any help would be appreciated, it is beginning to affect m day to day life and I am only 31!

  • A high CRP stands for C-Reactive Protein. It's usually high when there is some sort of inflammatory process going on in the body, but you really need to have more test done to confirm that and to ascertain exactly what's causing that. I would go to see a Rheumatologist. They can give you a full work-up and are specialists for random Rheumatic pains. In other words, all I know from your post is that you have some kind of inflammation (which can cause pain), but you need to find out more about it and what's causing it. Depression can also cause general pain and memory issues. The 'shooting' pains sound more nerve-involvement to me (I'm not a doctor!). The sweet taste in your mouth is usually a sign of diabetes.....but you say you have been tested (neg) for that. Hope that at least points you in the right direction.
