Turns out I’ve had ITP since childhood
Sever Anxiety set in when I was 11. Social anxiety, When I get scared my stomach starts gurling and making noises. This only makes panic attacks worse and I find it difficult to be in “school settings”.
Officially diagnosed with ITP in fall of 08 while pregnant, put on high dosage of prednisone for about 6 month. The highest dose being 100 mg a day, while average was about 60 mg a day.
While on steroids during pregnancy experience weight gain, acne, heartburn, depression, fatigue.
Have 2 platelet transfusions during labor, platelets still not high enough for csection. 35 hours of labor, natural birth.
Stop steroids after having my son.
In Oct of 09, start blacking out, dizzy spells, multiple times per day. Have brain mri done, ok. Wear heart monitor for 2 weeks, ok. Have tilt table test, they diagnose me..(I don’t remember the exact term) my veins do not clinch together to hold blood “up”.
Jan 11, reoccuring stomach pain starts getting worse. (had been experiencing it off and on for over a year with increased frequency)
May 11, stomach pain becomes unbearable and constant. (Since about mid May, I have had it every day at all times)
Visit ER, they test me for pregnancy, negative. They do pelvic exam, fine.
Go see family doc, he orders pelvic ultrasound, abdominal ct scan, both come back fine. He runs blood tests, checks my thyroid, once again normal. Though the blood tests show I am anemic and have low folate.
Get stools samples done to check for parasites, bacteria, and blood, all normal
Put on zegrid otc, doesn’t help
Now awating egd, while still in terrible gnawing pain in upper center abdominal everyday all day. Extremely tired, difficulty focusing on things, sick to stomach, bloated, abdominal weight gain which I have managed to get under control somewhat, back pain, pale skin, bleeding between peroids with frequent urge to urinate while ovulating along with terrible pain in lower left side near ovary. Also when carrying weight in the center of my chest, I have terrible chest pain and my heart starts to race very quickly.
I've seen several doctors, including several specialist. They all try to help with part of it but nobody has considered piecing this together. I am getting so frustrated and I feel like instead of there being several things that are wrong with me, maybe it’s all connected. I want to figure this out.
