It's my first time here and I have no clue how this works but I'll tell my story...hopefully it's not too long!
I have been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease for the last two years and have taken steroid type drugs and this bowel disease drug (Pentasa), and tons of others! Also, I've had a couple colonoscopy's and EGD's and all kinds of fun stuff and they just told me that I might have to go on a glucose-free diet, will find out results in a week!
But the problem is that first I don't think I have Crohn's, my conditions do not match those of someone with it, my blood tests do show that I did inherit it genetically but none of the medications have helped so I'm just doubting it. And about the glucose-free diet, pasta and breads and anything with glucose I think does upset me, but so do dairy products and it seems as though sometimes even salads so I'm just so annoyed!! :( Usually I'm pretty good about handling it and not letting it affect me but then I go through stages where I'm so annoyed and think it'll never go away.
My biggest symptoms are really bad stomach cramps around the belly button and below it, stomach swelling usually daily, my stomach seems extremely sensitive to stress levels, my weight goes up and down like crazy can vary 5-10 pounds within a couple weeks, and bad constipation and gas.
I would appreciate ANY HELP or OPINIONS, it just helps hearing other people's views that have been through this.
