Im becoming desperate. I started to get them when I was 16 years old. I am 20 now. They only bothered me once a year or so, if not more. (I assumed it was just the allergy season).
Now, my girlfriend has a dog and its just going crazy. Sometimes they are only mild reactions, and I miss a day or two of school, but other times its pretty bad. On those bad days, my eyes puff up to the point where I cannot see (it gradually dies off) and it takes about 5-7 days for me to return to normal again.
Ontop of the eye swelling, I also get red eyes (raccoon resemblance is evident) as well as becoming very dry, especially in the lips, nose, and eyes. It is also really hard for me to shave during this period, so overall, it is rather unappealing to me to go through every time.
I started to notice a hard reddish bump on my upper lip, that gets worse whenever I get an allergic reaction (then slowly fades, but never enough to disappear). All I get treated with is a 80-pill supply of antibiotics (which I take 2 every 6 hours until they are pretty much gone).
are there any alternatives that are available? I am at a loss, all I know is that I do not want to go through these reactions much longer. Would allergy shots even work for this type of reaction? I doubt dosing myself with antibiotics for a long period of time is good for me at all.
