I have been having sharp pains on my lower right abdomin
The pains that I experience are normally sparodic, they come and go sometimes they last for a whole evening and sometimes they just lasts for a short period. There are times I feel like a stingy sharp feeling that feels good when a scratch on it lightly, I also feel bloated at times, and have very dry mouth. I was instructed to go for a CT scan, blood test and urine test but the results came back negative.

Since I could not believe it I asked the Doctor to test for Pylori bacteria in relationship to Ulcers, sure enough they found that I have it. I was given the pills for Peptic ulcers which are amoxine, Biaxin and Plorisec.
I have been taking this dose for a week but there is no change at all. if anything I now feel drowsier and energyless.

I am not sure this is the real issue... please advice

  • What kind of doc are you seeing? Is it a gastroenterologist? If you are seeing an internist, have them refer you to one. Have they done any other tests like blood, urine, MRI etc.? If not, have them do as much as possible, don't take no for an answer, that's how my mother almost lost her life just because they were comfortable with "ulcer" and it turned out to be something much more serious.Good luck, ask around for a reference for a good gastroenterologist.Taya

  • My husband has a lot of abdominal pain. in 2003 he went to the emergency room and they did ct, x-ray, mri, blood work, all they found was his gall bladder had a stone in it. They did surgery to remove gallbladder. They discovered that he has diverticulitis. The worse case the doctor has ever seen. They removed little over a foot of colon, plus his gall bladder, an appendix. 2006 he wasn't doing in better, they had to go back in and remove more colon......he has enough to work with out a bag. But the pain is getting worse every day....... sooner or later he will have to go back in and get a colonostomy (bag) or it will erupt and it will kill him. my suggestion is get a colonoscopy!!!!!!

  • the more and more i research the human body it seems more confusing!!!!!! to be honest with you!!!!!!! i just recently found out i have trichomonas and i've only had unprotected sex with one partner!!!!i never knew i had it but i had those same symptoms!!!!i would have lower right abdominal pains and it would only occur sporadically so i ignored it!!!!!!!i figure since std's can be asymptomatic that u should maybe go get tested for std's just to be sure(know ur status).Because maybe you're experiencing abdominal pains as your only sypmptom that ur body is suffering from an std or sti!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • could be ibs as pain coming and going and bloating are part of the long list of symptoms - I have had IBS for years and the pain can be ***l at times but it's not serious - most tests will come back negative when it's IBS as it's a list of symptoms rather than physical diagnosis
