Abdominal Pain

This is is going out to any one who is suffering from IBS, which is really just undiagnosed abdominal pain. In late March of this year I begun suffering from on-going upper left abdominal pain. The pain was almost daily and went on pretty consistently until the middle of July. I began seeing a GI in May of this year and was given a blood test, stool test, CAT Scan, Chrons Test, Small Bowel Series, and Upper GI. All of my tests were negative with the exception of the CAT Scan which showed some inflammation in my small bowel. This was the reason for the small bowel series. After all of the tests I can say today that I am 90% pain free and can credit all of my success not to my GI, but my chiropractor.

In June of this year after much frustration with all of my tests and still suffering from pain daily, which was interfering with my life, work, and mental well-being. I began seeing a chiropractor who believed he could help me with my symptoms. After about 3 weeks I noticed I was going days with no pain. He also recommended treating my pain with vitamins: Bromeline, Omega-3, and Probiotics, which I was taking daily. I was also taking 2 - 3 ounces of mangosteen juice a day. Between the chiropractor, exercise, and vitamins, my body was repairing itself. I also received lots of coaching from my chiropractor on not allowing myself to stay in the negative when I was in pain. When people would ask how I was doing - I would just simply state - "I'm getting better", even when I felt terrible.

I am so thankful that today I am mostly pain free. My goal now is to help others who are in pain run away from the prescription drugs, and begin looking alternative forms of treatment for their ailments. Doctors are superb at treating ailments after they have occured, but this health experience has made me realize that we must take better care of ourselves if we are to enjoy this journey of perfect health. This means we need to take vitamins, nutritional supplement, watch our diets, exercise, and meditate.
