My pain started about 3 yrs ago. I was holding on to my dog's chain w/one hand and standing on part of it with my rt. foot. Dog jerked the chain and my foot and hip. Instant pain, then kind of eased up over next few weeks. Then started recurring (pain in buttock). I started limping, having restless leg synd. Went to a couple of Dr.'s (small town) and they gave me bandaids (muscle relaxers, pain pills). I really didn't want to go down that road so I've been searching on the internet. My pain has spread to the outside of my calf and thigh as well as my hip. My symptoms don't fit sciatica. Have read a little on the piriformis muscle that the sciatic nerve runs thru. Would like to know more!! Any ideas would be appretiated
as I can't even tie my shoe without standing straight legged and bending over. I can bend my leg and put my heel on the edge of the chair when i'm
sitting with no pain, can't cross my leg, sometimes it's hard to move my leg at all without lifting it by hand. HELP!!!!!!
