5year old boy with multiple Symptoms

For years I have been back to the doctors trying to find out what is 'not right' with my son. His symptoms for years have been as follows
-sleeps more than average
-drinks more than average
-extreme tantrums and constant irritability
-cradle cap (loses hair)
-finger nails are brittle (I have never had to cut them)
-Myers hip dysplasia
-low iron
-panic attacks when in crowded areas
-has trouble getting his words out, kind of like stuttering
-definate connection with mood and eating.
-low body temp when he gets sick 93C
-almost 6yrs and stills pees 2-3times during the night without waking, (fluids stopped after dinner)

Some of these symptoms may have nothing to do with the others but other than low iron Jake has not been diagnosed with anything. He is currently on 2iron pills daily and this has helped with his body temp and a bit with the fatigue, but the very brittle flacky finger nails is as bad as ever.

Does anyone have any suggestions how these symptoms may tie together???

  • I would have all of his glands evaluated and then have the school do a comprehensive psychological evaluation, a speech evaluation and OT eval through the special education department, even if he has not started kindergarten they have to do it. Ask your doctor to refer you to a developmental specialist; it sounds like autism or a tic disorder, which would require a neurologist to determine. Check diet, no dairy/wheat/sugar.

  • Thank you so much for advise so far. I will look into all of these things. Jake has seen a geneticist (found nothing) he has been tested for brain turmers, and other brain disorders (not sure exactly what they were looking for) diabetes(only urine) & thyroid. He`s doing well at school his fine motor is on track and as long as rountine stays on track his behavours do too.Just trouble talking. Iron supplements have helped lesson some of his symptoms. He has a physical coming up in April, I`m going to push for more tests. His doctor is very anti test anti everything. It took 3 episodes of limping for a week (without cause) for her to have his hips looked at and diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Any other thoughts are sooo appreciated, I feel like I`m on my own here. I`ll let y├áll know if any of your suggestions end up being Jake's diagnosis.
