hi it all started on boxing day i awoke feeling short of breath felt like i was starting to black out, went to ER they done some blood tests come back fine and sent me home.
A week later lying in bed i got major heart pulpatations the next day i started getting tingling on my left arm like pins and needles and tingling on left side of face along with dizzy spells an fataige, i also started to get a tightning around my throat area but lymph nodes were fine.I went to doctor an had a ecg which come back normal he told me every thing was weight related, the tingling sensations stoped, so i started to train an exercise again even tho i still was getting tightning around throat,i had no pulpatations or shortnes of breath for a couple of weeks but still had a tight throat out of frustration i decided to have a few drinks with friends to stop thinking about it that evening while drinking i got this pain in both my shoulders felt like i was holding heavy weights in my hands,in the morning my shortnes of breath was back and realy bad lasting most of the day.ive got my own stethoscope so i started listining to my heart some times its normal dub dub rythem but some times every maybe ten beats it only has first dub them starts new beat
just 4 days ago i started getting a fluttering feeling in my heart which would seem to take my breath away for a couple of secs ,also for a coulple of weeks have been getting burning felling or ache around heart, i awoke last night short of breath feels like im suffocating .It feels like im running out of time please help me

  • I would go seek the medical attention of a cardiologist and write down everything thats happening so you have it with when questions are asked,or possible see a rhuematologist ,maybe have thyroid problem or graves disease. Just a couple of thoughts, maybe someone else here can give you more advice.Good luck to you,;)

  • Hi! I am a cardiac nurse; and it sounds like you are experiencing irregular heart rhythms. The next time it begins; start coughing repeatedly. I would schedule an appointment with a cardiologist and ask to have a portable heart monitor for a few days to take home. Then when you experience the sensation it will be recorded and it will help with your diagnosis. Hope this helps!

  • Ive had heart flutters and palputations since i was 17, am now 34. Sometimes it is very scary when it feels as though it literally pauses and then beats real quick to catch up. Ive had just about everytest under the sun, all of which have came back fine, apart from a slight swelling of the apex of the heart. One thing i do know from my experience, is that alot of it is nerves and anxiety. You should tell yourself that worrying about it is certainly not going to help, and these are just palputations that millions of other people get, and its not going to kill you !TC

  • I recently posted a note basically of the same thing. For four years now I have been seeing doctors. I have had almost every test done on me too. I have a constant chest pain 24 hours a day. Sometimes Im scared to eat cause I just think the pain will get worse. At night time (seconds before I fall asleep) My heart will beat sooooo fast and Weird pallpitations will happen. Kinda feels like my hearts gonna explode. I sit up and when my heart slows down, I try to go back to bed, but It takes me like 4 hours to find a position that wont bother me anymore. Recently before these night pallpitations have been happening, I have been getting a JOLT down my left arm, which make my left hand almost completely numb. This arm pain has not gone away now in a week. What the ***l is this? All my tests show Im normal but I feel like Im gonna drop dead any second. Has ANYBODY got a cure for this, Anything??? stevenbella@hotmail.com

  • Go see a chiropractor. All your signs may indicate one of your vertebrae is really out. Even if you have no back pain or neck pain (I didn't) the heart palpitations and pins and needles or numbness are a sign of nerve endings being pinched from your spine. Go see a good chiroprator, it may really help.V

    8 Surprising Facts About Cholesterol

Did you know that one in six US adults has high cholesterol?

  • I have experienced all these symptoms also. Fatigue, palpitations, shortness of breath, chest, neck, arm pain, cramps in forearms, left face and arm asleep (tingling} dizziness, blackouts. In fact, in 1993 I was taken to the emergency room, and I "coded". They said my heart stopped for about 2 mins. They kept me for 6 days, and ran every test they could think of. In the end, they ruled out heart attack, blocked arteries and food poisoning. They speculated that "maybe a blood clot moved, possibly arterial spasms, or maybe bad electrical signals to the heart". Many, many minor episodes until 2004. Again emergency room, lots of ensuing tests, you name them. Nothing. Again speculation, "maybe a blood clot or bad signals". Well I'm on here looking for answers because it just started again. What I just found is, there is something called "sick sinus". It's a node on the heart that receives the signals. This seems to fit with all of it. But who knows? Good luck to all.

  • Hey i have that same problem. I went to the emergency room because i though i was having a heart attack as well. Turns it its panic disorder. And everytime my heart flutters or pauses i have a panic attack. From the information I have gathered from both my primary care doc and my cardiologist, high anxiety and heart palpitations are directly related. I know its hard, believe me im going though it right now. But you have to get controll of your anxiety and it will all go away. there is nothing wrong with your heart its all in your head. keep telling yourself thats everything is going to be ok and try to think of other things. Ask your doctor about puttin u on klonopin or xanax, that is working for me, i still get the flutters from time to time but no panic attack! Do some research on the heart its a pretty crazy muscle!!

  • i am having all of the same problems as the rest of you. i have been to the ER 3 times this week. i feel like i am gonna drop. they ran tests and everything was fine. mri, ekg, blood work, xrays, neb treatment. i didnt understand. my problem got better for 2 days then came back to kick my butt. its worse i went to the ER today for shortness of breath. feels like when i breathe in my lungs hit a wall and i cant fill them with air. i was told it was going to be an hr before i was seen. then it got realllllllly bad. tingling fingers, knees, feet, throat to my ears. then i realized it got worse because of anxiety. is it possible that its all in my head. i really dont think so. but i think it is possible that it got worse because of it. so now i am getting a specialist. they say they are going to put a camera down my throat. i say go for it. make this stop before i lose my mind. i understand all of your pain or lack there of. i dont feel pain just discomfort and annoyed by it. like someone poking you in the chest 24/7. you would lose your mind. i think i just might if i have to go another day like this. and it cant be in my head if when i smoke it gets worse. so some of you may have severe anxiety causing this but i am sure i don't. good luck to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
