My name is Shonda Sweat. When becoming pregnant with my second child, I had Severe Hyper-Ememsis. It was soo bad, I had to receive intravenous feedings through my veins. After I had her, I developed Severe Endometreosis. I was given a full Hysterectomy. After several doctors and 12 surgeries later, I was sent to UNC Chapel Hill Research Motility Clinic. There they discovered I had lost ALL Motility within my digestive track. I was then given a G-Tube, which was later changed to a GJ-Tube. This was after receiving 6 picc lines and 2 portacathedars. The last cath got infected, which landed me in the hospital with a Staff infection. I was given IBS diagnosis and Hypocondria.
I had 8 surgeries and 16 procedures.
