My daughter became pregnant and the tests revealed either the baby or the placenta had Trismony 2. My daughter was told to abort twice during her pregnancy.
We couldn't find hardly any information on Trisomy 2 , kept researching and only found 9 cases. One girl terminated, no results, 6 babies were born, no Trismony , one had no results at all, one baby died from it.
With those odds my daughter stopped all testing until her baby was born. She did have a placenta abruption which had nothing to do with the chromosome problem. The baby was born at 28 weeks gestation. She was tested twice and each time the test came back negative for Trismony 2. My daughters placenta was tested after birth and there were no traces found of Trismony 2 in her placenta. We have no idea why early in her pregnancy she was given a false positive which worried us the whole pregnancy!
I came to this web site during my trials of trying to find any/all information on Trismony and this was the only website that I found that gave me any hint of hope.
I am writing to let others know IF for any reason you do get a bad chromosone test result, it may be a false positive and not to give up hope on your baby.
