I went to the emergency room because my tonsils were huge and swollen and completely white. (covered with bacteria). And when the doctor saw it instead of doing a test she just looked at it and sain its tonsilitis. It wasn't, she gave me amoxicillin which didnt work because I couldn't even speak pr swallow the next day. I went to a different hospital and they tested me for strep and Mono. I had both, adn it was so bad that it could have killed me if I had waited any later. They gave me penecillin and I the white stuff started coming out he first day.
