My son who is in his late teens has been suffering from chronic itching between the groin area. Not jock itch, psorasis, dermatitis,.... etc... Ive taken him to Med doct, allergie doct, dermatologists, etc.... they've taken skin samples, blood samples, etc.... NOTHING.....He has taken every allergy medicing,, prescription, otc's. Tried every cream,,,Eucerin, Vaselines, etc... Oatmeal Baths, I don't know what to do...he's miserable. This has been going on for 2 years now.. It seems to itch the most in the mornings., He takes a tepid shower in the a.m., to try to releive it, doesnt help. Eventually by mid-day the itching is tolerable. NO rash, Just itching,
please help

NO rash, Just itching, please helpI am thinking that it could be an allergic reaction to either the soap or a body wash he is using ...sometimes as simple as the type of fibers in the underwear can cause the problem keeping the area dry is important ...lice is another issue that can cause intense itching ....so what you can use is the DR BRONNERS mild soap it is very good even for sensitive skin ..or try baking soda in the water as a rinse ...just plain water with the soda ..no soap .hope my suggestion helps .

NO rash, Just itching, please helpI've suffered from constant itching for the last 7 months, and my skin has turned leathery, dark and scaley from it. I am finally getting some relief by taking Atarax at night (half does as it makes me very seleepy) and Allegra in the morning. Mine stems from Multiple Connective Tissue disease (MCTD) which is autoimmune connective tissue disease and limited my trunk and neck. I've gone to all the doctors, ran tests, biopsy, but Atarax is a life saver for me.
