My son, who is 26, has partial paralysis on his left side, left side of his face is drooping, severe speech problems, and from what we can see, some memory problems. We were just informed of his condition, he is currently incarerated for writing bad checks. He has been in this stated conditon since late January. The Guards in his area told us he was diagnosed with a stroke, told us to call the people in charge to find out why we were not notified, and procceded to tell us that there was some real mistakes made with our son, when we contacted the waredn and the medical person in charge, they became very defensive and argumetative about my son's conditon. The authorities are saying a seizure caused this. My son is supposed to be released in 4 weeks, now, we would have never known about any of this if personnel inside of the jail would not have contaced us on their own, and at risk of loosing their jobs. Also, let me say that the state institutions cannot be held liable for anything that has happened, so, we are not looking for a way to sue anyone, are issue is with what we need to do to get him rehabilitated, but as of right now, we don't know what has caused his condition. Any help is greatly appreciated.
