I went to the doctor complaining of really bad and constant headaches and pressure on my nose. I got put on strong painkillers, and the first tests they did were on my eyes. They sent me to an optometrist to look at my eyes to see if it was them, and they found the nerve at the back of my eye was slightly off-shape. This lead them to believe I had pressure on it, thus pressure built up on my brain. They ordered a CT scan convinced i had a tumor. Nothing turned up. Headaches continued. They then ordered an MRI. Hundreds of dollars later, the MRI showed no tumors or abnormalities.... but they finally figured out it was sinusitis!
My doctor is thourough, but IMO, in thise case it wasn't needed. He had me, and my family believing i had some kind of brain tumor, when all it was, was sinusitis! Moral of the story, if you think your doctor is being over the top, consult someone else about this worry and take it from there!
