Just reading your stories about misdiagnosis and reminded me of when I was 14 and my appendix burst. Went to family doc and was told it was a kidney infection and gave me prescription and told me to drink 4 pints of water daily (which actually caused my appendix to burst). 3 days later I had the most unbelievable pain and was crying and screaming. My parents took me to A&E and they had to sign for surgery almost immediately. I was later told that I actually stopped breathing on the operating table for a nano second. I'm now 35 and think that I may be infertile. It's scary and disgraceful that doctors can get it so wrong sometimes but at least I'm still alive and kicking.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
