After many odd nasal discharges my 19 year old VERY healthy son went to a Dr. who ordered a CT scan. A mass inside the right nostril was detected. A surgeon told my ex wife "there's no need to biopsy this. He's 19 so I don't think it's cancer." The tumor removal surgery was done June 28th 2011. They sent the tumor out for a biopsy after they couldn't do it at the hospital where the surgery took place. Mass General in Boston contacted us 29 days later (they had it for 3 days) to tell us not only was it cancerous they wanted to see him right away. Well they are shocked there was no pre-surgical biopsy done. They did tumor removal sugery instead of canerous tumor removal surgery. Not only is he having surgery next week, the tumor is back and bleeding. Then they are scheduling proton radiation and aggressive chemo. My question is: did the original Dr mess up?
