I was thrown from a tugger at work,at the time I thought I was ok.I started to get weak,I had trouble walking,i fell a lot,I lost all feelings in my hands, arms, back, feet and legs I worked like this for a month.I keep it from my wife as long as I could, because I knew she would make me go to the doctor. The first doctor I went to diagnosed me with arthritis and gave me medicines for inflammation. It didn't help and I was getting worse. My wife called an ambulance and was taken to the ER.The doctor on duty did a spinal tap and diagnosed me with Guillain Barre Syndrome.Admitted me to ICU unit and gave me medication intravenously 3 a day for 5 day`s.While I was in the hospital they did an MRI.After being there for 5 day`s I was sent home. And was prescribed physical and occupational therapy.I had a follow up appointment with a neurologist,he did a nerve sensation test. That`s when I found out that my neck was broken and I needed surgery as soon as possible or I was going to be paralyzed or could die.He told me to go home stay in bed and his office would call me when he found a neurological surgeon to do my surgery,It took about a week.I had to have 2 metal plates,2steel rods,7 screws in my neck,I had a vertex fusion and vertical fusion. The doctor told me that I wouldn`t get the feelings back that I had before.I don`n have any reflexes ,I can`t walk without a cane and I`ll never be able to work again.I`ll have to take medication the rest of my life.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
