im only 16 and for about 4-5 months now iv had these really itchy red spots scattered across my thighs, calves and my knees. iv had a few suggestions what they might be of friends, they said it could be bites from flea's, bed bugs etc. to in grown hairs and even Meningitis!
The spots are turning into a rash and are spreading more and more but for some reason, only seems to appear on my legs. A month ago i was doing my GCSE exams and i was thinking maybe it was stress causing these spots because i also got them on my arms but now they are only on my legs. i really need some help, my prom is in 3 days and im getting really nervous and embarrassed incase these annoying spots dont clear up!

in desperate need of advice!:(

  • Hello. i have had something similar to this before. bug bites and ingrown hairs and other things look alot different. i would say for you to check pictures on google of flea bites and such to see which is the closest to what you have. it is flea season right now so its possible. If fleas are a possibility then make sure to take your socks and shoes off before you enter your room so that you dont carry them near the bed. As far as ingrown hairs go. If you spend alot of time sitting they may be in the back of your legs. As far as the other possible causes that it might be, those i do not have experience with, but what I just explained i have experienced. I remember when i brought fleas into the house and they got into the bed. I too was worried that they were bedbugs. a few things you can do until you are sure of what it is are, change your sheets, make sure you completely change your clothes before you get into bed at night, keep your laundry basket away from your bed (outside of the room if necessary). Hope this helps you. Remember, your young, you are probably on your parents insurance so never be afraid to tell them about something and see the doctor.
