a9-yers old lybian male childpresented with abdominal pain,vomitting,right knee &ankle swelling of 1day duration,on further enquiry ...joint problem found to run since childhoodwithout intractable pain,hotness.past medical h/o pericaditis ,effusion,ascites&left sided pleural effussion,at7-years of agemmanaged as acase of JRA,in his developmental h/o...his mother said that she noted aflexion deformity in both little fingerswhich responded 2phisiotherapy,no drug is given 2 child apart from prednesone,aspirin at time of 1st attack at7 years,on exam.he has limitatin of movement (mainly flexion)in pij of both little fingers,limited extension of elbow,rheumatoid nodule like massesin olecranon,wrist&pij.+ve f/h of same problem,recently seen by pediatric rheumatologist who syggest diagnosis of jakob syndrome rather than JRA&request a synovial biopsy 4 confirmation,pls i want more info.about this condition.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
