I went to see a new doctor about my depression and within twenty minutes he diagnosed me with BP (Bipolar), yet I had no tests done and that was the very first time that I have seen him. Further to this, he had no past medical records for me yet still went ahead with the diagnoses. In my personal opinion, I don't believe I have BP. Question is - even though his a professional, would you let someone diagnose you within 20 minutes of knowing you and not doing tests? Should I see another doctor for a review?

Some Doctors believe you can not have one with out the other. Anytime you do not agree with a Diagnosis you should question it. Is there anyway he was seeking to Rule out Bi-Polar disorder? How did you become aware of the Diagnosis?
