Do I have my ovaries?

Last month I had an ultrasound done because I was having adominal pains. The doctor was checking for cysts on my ovaries. Three years ago I had a hysterectomy but the ovaries were left. 4 months after my hysterectomy I had a hernia operation that went bad. Without going into alot of detail, the doctor had put metal meshing on my bladder instead of the hernia. I was in extreme pain that he told me was normal. Well after a CT scan it told us the story. The second surgery was to remove the metal meshing from my bladder etc. I had internal bleeding which let to an 8 hours blood transfusion etc. The loss of blood brought my blood pressure dangerously low, I almost didn't make it. So of course they couldn't repair the hernia this time. The third operation was done a month later. All in all I had 5 operations in a 9 month period. Before the second hernia operation, the doctors stated in my record that I had a cyst on one ovary and then a page later it said I had a cyst on the other. It seems they couldn't decide which one it was.
With this information we thought I had a cyst on one of my ovaries, so thats why the ultrasound. The results showed no evidence of ovaries at all. The blood work showed no evidence of hormones. The doctor told me that they may have been taken out by mistake during the hernia repair or they shriveled up and died.
I went for a second opinion on Friday. They squeezed me in just before closing to get the ultrasound done. The tech wanted to know why I was needing one. I just told her the whole story. It was strange because at first she couldn't find my left one and then out of the blue said she found it. Then she went immediately and found my right one. They gave me the envelope with the results to take to the doctor. It was just alittle paper reading the size of my ovaries and that they found them. They said that the size was normal. Could that be possible when the first doctor told me that they weren't even there or they shiveled up and died? WHo do I believe? and now what do I do? If my ovaries are there are they giving me the pain or is it scar tissue. I need some advice. Its driving me crazy.
