Hey everyone,

Wanted to let you in on something many of your doctors will not check for, but may be you have the disorder. As a result, the doctors prescribe years of steroids that will do nothing to help the condition. It is called Vocal Cord Dysfunction, which masquerades as severe asthma, in my case. If you are having asthma-like symptoms, but are finding that nebulizers don't help you, if the asthma meds aren't working or have tightness--ask your doctor to see if it is VCD and not asthma. The trouble with the condition is that, if they do a test, you cannot always tell if you have the condition for sure. Make sure you get second opinions.
