Well, to keep things short and sweet, after a few days in the hospital last week, the docs did a CT angiogram and claim to have found bi-lateral clotting in my lower lobes. I was set up with the stick yourself shot and warfrin and went home.
Two days later, I had a panic attack while getting my PTC blood draw, and they advised me to go back to the hospital. Because things were really busy, I was diverted to the newest hospital in town. They also ran me through their CT angoio and came back telling me I had NO emboli..?!
I'm still waiting for my primary doc to figure out with the lung specialist why the two tests would differ just two days apart...but (pardon the pun) I'm not holding my breath for anything different than the diagnosed emboli, I have all the classic symptoms.
I think too much about it though because it's a big "what is it" if it's not emboli.
