In 1987 I broke my leg, had a plate and 6 screws put in my shin. 9 years later I started developing a red spot in the middle of the scar (8 inch scar) 20 years later that red spot is 6 inches high by 2 1/2 inches wide-red. Doctors say it is scarring. In May 2004, the red scar hurts and skin looks thin, I have the plate removed. Everything ok. in May 2007 I wake up and there are about 7 open wounds in the scar. I've been to an infectious disease Dr. He find nothing, I went to a wound clinic for 1 1/2 years every week, down to 2 ulcers but can't find a reason why. I decided to go to another wound clinic for a 2nd opinion, ran test, did another culture test and sent away to Florida. nothing, 2nd wound clinic tells me he has no idea what is wrong, he can't help me, he can find nothing wrong with me. Dermatologist. nothing. I contacted MRSA on 2 occasions from being in the Hospital, getting intravenous IV for infections, now thats a problem and I am out of options. I don't know what to do. I can't live with open wounds. Now I have lost my insurance so I am really in a bad position. I need help and I don't know what to do. I went also to a Natural healer, she suggested a golden salve which I use on the wounds 2 or 3 times a day and some black salve in the evening but that has been 2 1/2 months now and they are still there.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
