What's with all the problems? Masturbating too much?

I've been having quite a few small problems with my genital area lately, and I want to make sure I'll be alright and that I don't have anything else going on besides the fact that I've been masturbating twice as much as I normally do.

On that note, I am a teenager, I am not sexually active, and never have been.*

Well, it started a little longer than a month ago; I shaved for the first time in a few months. I got small red pimples around the general area where I had shaved, (not on the penis itself,) and they were itchy; they wouldn't go away for a few weeks.*

I figured this was because I made a few tiny little nicks that got infected, and since I hadn't shaved in a while it may have irritated the area.

I decided to lay off the masturbation for a while; *I figured the pimples weren't healing because I wouldn't leave the area alone. *And sure enough the red pimples cleared up in a couple days.

But, there was a small bump that stayed behind. When I masturbated again after I thought I was healed, I noticed a small bump or vein or something bulge up that I had never seen before. It didn't feel right.*
I'm guessing maybe it's an ingrown hair; I've gotten a couple of those before due to shaving (one of them actually did occur in the crotch area.)

After that happened, the base of my penis, and around the balls, started feeling sore. There was even one night that a sharp pain shot through the area.

My girlfriend was afraid that I had urinary tract infection based on those last few symptoms, and she told me to drink lots of water and stop masturbating. I did that, and it actually did help... but also, I was having a few other stomach problems at the time. Once my...erm...bowels cleared up, the pain went away for the most part. So we're pretty certain it wasn't UTI.

BUT, that small red bump/vein/ingrown hair or whatever it is still shows up, and my balls still feel sore. I'm positive now that it's because I've been masturbating twice a day instead of my usual once a day. *What do I need to do to stop this? Any good ways to calm myself down and stop masturbating so much? I don't exactly want to turn my balls into raisins and I want the red places to stop showing up.

Oh, on a sidenote: sometimes when I feel a pain in one of my balls, I will feel a sharp pain shoot through my leg and thigh to follow.
BUT I don't think this is because of my other problems. I do know I sit cross-legged most of the time, and I'm wondering if it's pinching a nerve or something.

  • little buddy, just relax. masturbating 2x per day isn't going to make your tallywacker fall off or shrivel your balls. it's all due to the hormones you have at your age.ask yourself this: if you were having sex with your girlfriend twice a day, do you think that would actually hurt you? No. So neither will masturbating. And let me tell you, you are much safer doing that than engaging in sex right now and either getting a girl pregnant or catching an STD.As for those sore: first of all, don't go overboard with the EMO nonsense. what the heck are you doing shaving your naughty bits? Most straight men don't do that. Secondly, maybe you just need to be a little gentler on yourself. It's possible to get too excited and damage veins or the skin, so find a way of doing it without knocking dents into the family jewels. If you continue to have sores, go to a doctor. It's possible to get boils and other skin sores there that have nothing to do with masturbation. When I was a teen I got one near my anus and was too embarrassed to say anything until it got so bad I had to have surgery. Don't be embarrassed, just tell your mom you have some sores you need checked out. But of course, you don't have to show her you've been shaving your pubes, it's perfectly OK to tell her you are embarassed to show her your nether regions. when you were a baby, she had every right to inspect you to make sure you were OK. Now you are almost an adult, you have every right to not expose yourself.Good luck, take care of business, but for crying out loud, be gentle. That's the only penis you'll ever have.

  • All right... thank you. But, has it occurred to you that maybe it just bothers me to have hair on my balls? My girlfriend's best friend's dad shaves his legs because leg hair bothers him, and he's perfectly straight. He used to compete in triathalons all the time, and he still exercises just for his wife. (he's pretty ***n homphobic, actually.)Anyways, the problems have pretty much stopped. I really think that now it's an ingrown hair; I did notice a little wiry black hair growing out from that one bump that still stays around. I might try to remove it.
