Hey all,
first of all such a helpful site.....i suppose im here to see if anyone can

help.Im a young man in my mid 20s, 2 yrs ago i felt a chronic pain on my

left groin, all the way down stopping just before the entrance to the

Anus....i was hardly able to walk but the doctor subscribed "rest" , which i

did untill it went away....up unitll christmass 2006 i had experienced a lot

of stiffness while playin sports and everyday life with the ocassional pain

with the abnormal frequently Anal itching....After the xmas period that

severe pain i had 2 years ago returned....as it was thought to be a sport injury i received 2 MRI cans on my hip

and back bones but got the all clear...The pain in the last week feels like a constant burning in

my inner upper thighs around my groin area between my testicles and

anus.., the left side is severe, the right ok&bearable...i have also noticed

the occassional blood on the tissue from the left side when sitting on the

toilet but this is only very slight.....i dont seem to have any pain during sex but urinating can be slightly slow but not at all painfull...

my doctor

suggested a type of prostatitus and gave me a 3/4 week subscritpion but

that was 5 days ago and my sypmtoms have stayed the same. ......Does

anyone have any idea about this or could be anything worse??
Thanks for any help

  • No fun suffering in mystery. I had similar symptoms, and some explanation from finding out that I, along with 20% of North American men, have herpes. It seemed like a stress, but it turns out that lots of women have it too, so a frank conversation before any sexual relations is a good idea. BTW not a single one of the hot babes I've hooked up with turned me away after I told her. I have been very careful to wash before sex, wear condoms, don't get it on during outbreaks, and don't get sweaty. I am in a happy long-term relationship with the woman of my dreams. And relief for the symptoms? I took Valtrex for a few months ten years ago, but now I find soap and water (it's actually being studied) prevents and reduces outbreaks. So does less stress. Avoid steroids and aspirin. Lysine ointment is OK too. Butt and legs are common outbreak sites, not just genitals. Blisters can be tiny in a rash or single and a few mm across. Lots of people get along fine with herpes. Don't sweat it! : )

  • From what I've read, 1 out of 6 people have genital herpes. What are describing sounds exactly what I've been having for the past 37 years.
