Thanks for viewing my post.
A little history.
43 yr old heterosexual male. Have been very sexually active over the years and have always tested negative for std's. About two months ago I had unprotected sex with a female friend. One week later I had unprotected sex with another female friend. I know, it was reckless. They were both regular partners, which does not excuse the irresponsibility... About three weeks later I was masturbating with... some vegetable oil, was out of the usual lube. Seemed like a good idea at the time.
After ejaculation I noticed a slight burning at the tip of the urethra. Within a day or so I was having some green discharge stains in my underwear. Started researching and Gonorrhea or Chlamydia sounded about right for the symptoms. About three or four days later I went in for std tests. (at this point it was about 5 weeks since the first unprotected encounter. Tested negative. So did both girl friends.
I went back to the Dr. since I was still having some symptoms, mainly dark colored urine, and darker than normal semen and the slight discomfort at the tip of the penis. She said it could be Trichomonas and gave me a single dose antibiotic. I think it may have been Azithromax...
Now 3-4 weeks after that dose, I still have the slight pain at the tip of the penis and my urine is still orange to bright yellow. Looking into the urethra I can see a slight bit of irritation, but that is it. I am a fairly heavy beer drinker, but also drink a lot of water.

I have not yet gone in for a Herpes test and have never had an outbreak other than internal mouth ulcers since I was a kid. Since it has been about 8 weeks I will be going in to have the HPV test soon. I understand I need to wait.

Could it be that all of this is a result of the vegetable oil causing an infection that the antibiotics didnt clear up?

Thanks for reading and hope to get some replies. Please, I know about the irresponsibility of not wearing condoms 100% of the time, and have learned my lesson.

  • No, I don't think the vegetable oil gave you the STD, however, it may have cause some bateria to be pushed inside of you. Good idea to get the blood work for the viruses now. You don't need an outbreak to have herpes. You know, some of these STDs mutate so they don't come in when they check for them. After your blood work for syphilis and herpes IgM and IgG and your HPV check, try homeopathy.
