Sometime back in Febuary, I went to see my primary for a persistent sore throat. He did a swab check for strep but that came back negative. He told me to use some acid reflux medicine for a month or two to see if it went away. It didn't. He finally refered me to a ENT doc who shoved this scope up my nose and down my throat to check for something. He found nothing and told me to stay on acid reflux medicine. I went back to him 3 months later with even more pain in my throat and neck area. He did the scope twice that day. He still found nothing and told me stay on the reflux meds. I had to go to the ER last Friday for some cardiac issues and when I was there they performed a head and Neck CT with contrast and behold they found a lymph node in my neck swollen to 3.8 cm. Now it's time to return to Dr. Reflux to see what happens next.
