I noticed a lump (about the size of a pea) in the back of my neck, on the left side, along the hairline. I asked my doctor about it, and she said it was a swollen lymph node, and to wait 4-6 weeks for it to disappear. I had just been sick with a bad cold, so I thought nothing of it. At around the same time, I woke up with horrible pain under my ear, along my jaw, on the left side. The doctor attributed this, too, to my cold. However, it's been over 2 months, and neither have gone away. I also have "crackling" in my ear, when I yawn. The lump behind my neck seems to shrink and increase throughout the day, though it's never grown past its original size.
I am really worried. However, I moved out of the state last week, and no longer have insurance. We don't make very much money, so going to a doctor is out of the question. Does anyone have any advice? I can't sleep, I am so worried!
