About a week ago my arm had become extremely sore and painful to move. So then I realized I still had a swollen lymph node in my arm pit which I have had for many years thinking its not a big deal. I am currently 18 years old and a female and I really hate going to the doctors so I haven't gone since my sports physical before 10th grade which was almost 4 years ago. I remember the doctor saying it was just a swollen lymph node and probably nothing so I forgot about it and pushed it off. Until now I feel it and it is MUCH larger and it is tender when I touch it and hard... Then I realized that my swollen lymph node was the cause for the arm pain the other week. I dont know what to do, I am freaking out because I dont want to find out what is wrong. I just want to know what to expect... I was reading and it says that it could be related to the epstein-barr virus which I have because I had mononucleuosis not too long ago and I also have an extremely messed up period (or maybe its not even my period) which I haven't done anything about either and I am wondering if everything could be related. I AM SOO SCARED! I can't concentrate. I deal with the pain and always let everything slide but now I am very worried after reading about how swollen lymph nodes can be cancer. If you have anything to tell me I would love to hear back.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
