I need some guidance...anyone with a child that has been diagnosed that could give me advice would be great!

My daughter is 3. She has had a swollen lymph node in the right side of her neck for over 6 months. They treated her with antibiotics but it has actually grown. Today they did a head X-ray to check her sinuses and adenoid gland and these came back fine.

I guess my question is this...Is it possible that she has lymphoma? How will that be determined and how will it be treated?
I am worried and devastated at this point!

  • Hello :)Im sorry to hear your daughter is having problems at such a young age. Does she feel tired/fatigued often?Have abdominal pain?Feel sick? There could be many causes of this, and it may not be lymphoma. It could be glandular fever - my sister had it when she was 4.It could even be a blocked saliveral gland in the neck - I have had this and my doctor thought it was lymphoms, but it soon appeared it actually wasnt. Do you notice that the gland is more swollen anytime in the day? Are any other gland areas in the body swollen? (groin/armpits) And lastly does she have abdominal pain? Hope this helps. If you reply with some answers I may be able to help more.

  • Thank you for your reply! Yes, she is often tired and says she needs to rest in the middle of playing or taking a walk. She also frequently complains of stomach and head aches. This has been ongoing for several months. She also has allergies, so it's hard to tell what is the problem. The gland is always swollen and has grown 1 inch according to her regular pediatrician in the past 6 months. I haven't felt any other swollen glands. We went to a specialist last week and an X-Ray ruled out sinus related issues or adenoid issues. I'm not sure what will come next but I am terrified that it could be something serious!

  • Dear Kaisia, Brad at 15 had a chronic cough. He had stomach problems. Nausea when he ate. Tired all the time. The man that treated him, and I will not give this man the title of doctor because he was careless. Brad also had a swollen lymph node. All of this was ignored, no tests were ordered. The "man" thought he was the smartest god on the block. When Brad began coughing up blood the "man" finally ordered a CT scan. Too late, Brad was a stage 4 Hodgkins. DO NOT ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE WITH YOUR DAUGHTER. INSIST ON A CT SCAN. It is probably nothing but are you and the man treating your daughter willing to take a chance? Threaten the treater of your daughter if you have to. Rule out a tumor. The reason Brad had a chronic cough was because he had the Hodgkins in his Thymus and it was pressing on his windpipe, hence the cough. Trust me, you do do not want your child to have advanced cancer.Go to my son's website: bradkimball.comThere are alternative therapies that can and have cured cancer. I am doing a survivor page that will be coming up soon. There are ways to cure cancer that will be successful and will not destroy the body as chemo and radiation do.Keeping The Promise,Linda KimballBrad's Ma and Champion

  • Thank you for your advice. I'm sorry your son has had to go through such a rough time. We went back to the specialist about a week ago and he booked a biopsy. It is taking place next week. She is also going to have her tonsils and adenoid taken out at the same time. I'm hoping for the best!

  • Dear Kaisia's Mom, If it turns out that Kaisia has cancer do not let fear cloud your thinking. We were so scared and turned to the doctors and they led us down the primrose path. 90% cure for stage 4 cancer. We believed them. What a mistake. Yes, some people are cured of cancer with traditional medicine but most are not. This is a fact: you only have to live for 5 years to be counted among the survivors. I can tell you this as a first course of action: take over Kaisia's diet. I was diagnosed 3 months ago with 5 spots in my lung. I did not panic because with the research that Brad and I did I know how to treat cancer for myself: This is what I started 3 months ago when the spots were found:1. I take a probiotic (MegaFlora) as soon as I get up. This is for the health of your gut. They are the friendly flora that should be in your intestinal system. REMEMBER, YOUR IMMUNE STARTS IN YOUR GUT. LOOK IT UP, IT'S TRUE.2. 30 minutes later I juice 8 ounces of carrot juice with my Jack LaLanne ELITE Juicer. In it I add 2 tablespoons of Barley Green Powder by Pure Planet( when your first starting to juice start with a smaller amount of barley, you don't want to detox too fast and that is part of what barley powder will do, detox the bad stuff out of your body) with the juice I take a enzyme tablet. Most people are deficient in enzymes and it is imperative for a person to get the nutrition out of what goes into their stomach. I take Digest Gold by Enzymedica.3. I repeat the juicing later in the day with the enzyme. If they found outthat I do have cancer I will do the juicing 8 times a day with enzyme.4. I drink only Figi Water. If you look on Kriss Karrs website you will find that in Europe clinical tests were done on Figi Water and people that drink 1.5 liters a day have better overall health. By the way Kriss Karr hashalted what was terminal and incurable cancer through diet. No chemo, no rad. Check out her site.5. If I want solid food, it is dark green salad greens with nuts, lots of different veggies, seeds(flax is the best). Sweet potatoes are good.Cooking kills all the good in your food.6. NO SODA, NO SUGAR, NO WHITE BREAD PRODUCTS, NO FAST FOOD, NO PREPARED FOOD FROM THE GROCERY STORE(TOO MANY CHEMICALS IN THEM)7. If they find out I have cancer I will add a product called MGN3. This product pumps the killer cells in your body. The Japanese developed this product(though on the internet you might hear different.) The Japanese use this product when people over there are diagnosed with cancer.8. I know a MD that is schooled in alternative cures for cancer and I will do Dr. Keith Bewer's Cesium Therapy. From all the studying this therapy along with a strict diet that I have spoken of is what cancer victums should be told about. If you ask a doctor about what I have said they will discourage you, insult it, or say nothing. They are not trained in what I have spoken of and the money interests in this country will do everything they can to keep it quiet. What is the death of cancer victums as long as we are bringing in billions on chemo and rad? Basically, what I am saying is that diet is imperative in curing cancer. This is something that cancer patients are not told about nor is it's importance spoken of. A child would no doubt not want to follow this regime but I can assure you that it is important to a cure. I wish you the best on the biopsy but do not panic if the outcome is not what you want to hear. Cancer need not be feared as long as you know what to do. If you have any concerns or need anymore info on what Brad and I believe is the way to go email me at: bradacura@tampabay.rr.com You can also go his his website for info: http://bradkimball.com I mention specific brands of products. I mention them because they are what I believe are the best from the research I did on each one. I get no money from them.Keeping The Promise,Linda KimballBrad's Ma and Champion
