Hello, after many years of trying to figure out what was wrong with me, I was recently diagnosed with Lupus. I know vertually nothing about this disease. Do any of you with Lupus find that a change in weather makes your symptoms worse?
Thank you,
Annlynn:confused:

  • Hello, after many years of trying to figure out what was wrong with me, I was recently diagnosed with Lupus. I know vertually nothing about this disease. Do any of you with Lupus find that a change in weather makes your symptoms worse?Thank you,Annlynn:confused:People with a hypersensitive nervous and immune system get the Lupus Diagnosis. My aunt was a Lupus patient and always suffered with allergies. We were very ignorant of the mayor factor that allergies are on Lupus patients.A lupus patient can be allergic to chemicals, essential nutrients and weather, foods (proteins) and climate changes.Rashes, muscle pain, organ inflammation and organ fatigue happen to many people who are suffering from hidden allergies. They are also the hallmark of Lupus.I believe that many Lupus patients are allergic to vitamins. It sounds crazy but I knew my aunt and she had the typical symptoms of Vitamin B complex defficiency- I don't think she absorbed the supplements.I had bad generalized organ inflammation 3 months ago. My liver had bad inflammation w/o an infection because my body was building up toxins.*Every time I ate protein I would get bad muscle pain all over- specially turkey dark meat gave me "the flu" for 5 days at a time. All that triptophane was hurting me bad.Since then I discovered my allergies and I am clearing them successfully. The body produces toxins as a mechanism of defense from harmless substances, that's where the dysfunction prevails and the body wears out.I was asked to take the test so see if I have Lupus because of this terrible health crisis I am recovering from. I have not done it yet but plan to do it sometime this year, since my Aunt had it.I decided to go on the wholistic path- which I recommend you to do in combination with your current action plan. I managed to reverse my nutritional allergies and deficiencies, my organ inflammation, organ fatigue and toxic overload 30% in one month with NAET in spite of the huge side effects that I suffered from the use of drugs, bad diet, a strep infection, and mold exposure. My doctor of Wholistic medicine explained that when old folks with arthritis say something like " it is going to rain, I can feel it in my bones" - can be a manifestation of an "allergy" to barometric changes. This can now be corrected permanently 90% of the time with NAET.Please find a great doctor of oriental medicine who practices NAET- be tested with him/her for all allergies to food, environment, heat, cold, wind, humidity, all nutrients, all chemicals, etc. Also try Reiki- because it helps the body to heal. A Licensed Acupuncturist/herbalist can safely help you flush all toxins that get accumulated in your tissues and joins and break energy blockages that may affect organs. So much to do-Wish you success.Sincerely,Maribel.

  • Wow, Unbelievable....i Have Had Allergies Since '97 But I Have Never Seen A Doctor For It. Thank You Very Much For Your Insight. Very Helpful. Thank You!:)You are very welcome. Just so you know, traditional allergy tests are only 50% accurate. So if you go to a strong head doctor that tells you that allergies are only rashes or sneezes, don't fall for it. NAET can really shed some light and Reverse the sensitivities permanently. It sounds crazy- but it works! If you start feeling overwhelmed with inflammation or reactions try taking extra vitamin C, selenium, magnesium, milk thistle, vitamin e,querecitin and dandelion. They work better than drugs. They heal you back.I also use essential oils that I sniff and apply to heart, tummy, forehead, ears, when reacting to allergens. I love camphor and bergamot.Dandelion cleanses the blood from toxins. If you are taking medication, make sure you check for side effects or interactions. Try to take them separetely and gradually and check for sensitivities. If one give you sensitivities, don't take it.Dead Sea Salts are awesome- they purify too.I send you a big hug.Have a great day.

  • I really thank you so much...This is the first time that I have heard of NAET. I am going to research it...sounds like something that would be right for me. I do not like taking medicine. The only 'medicine' that I take regularly now is magnesium, iron, and B-12 per the UVA doctors order. My levels were so low in those. I do know that I have 'cysts' in my brain in the sinus area...but no one seemed to care about it so I haven't either. I've had a runny nose since 1997...But, I never put it together that allergies could have anything to do with my symptoms. Never thought of it at all. Thank you for your help and advice. You have steered me in a direction that I would have never discovered on my own.I appreciate it very much.Very best to you,Ann

  • I just got diagnosed with Lupus about 2 weeks ago but I have been dealing with the probability of lupus for 2 years. This is a scary disease but it affects everyone so differently it has made a huge impact on my life I am not longer able to go out in the sun for long periods of time. I am in constant pain in my legs. I can only sleep about 2 hours a night for most of the time. But then you can have your really good days to I hope that the disease does not affect you anything like it has affected me and my life. My prayers are with you.

  • you need to take your diagnosis seriously and follow your Doctors instructions as lupus can lead to organ failure. NAET is a scam in my opinion and you would be putting your self at serious risk. Google lupus and do as much research as possible. I have a friend with lupus and it is possible to get it under control and to prevent "flare ups" Find a good Rheumatolgist and stick with that protocol - leave the NAET alone.

  • NAET is a great way to support various treatments. It is most effective when combined with integrative medicine- the proper nutrition, the right supplements, and chinese herbs. Please read "Never Be Sick Again" -- It is a great manual.I can assure you that the profile of the Lupus patient is a person with multiple chemical sensitivities, allergies and intolerances to its own collagen, calcium, vitamin C, vitamin B complex, hormones, seratonin, melatonine, triptofan, and most proteins in food.Best,Frui.

  • I am going to look into NAET. Most of my life, I have been dealing with severe allergies year round. I always have drainage and congestion which in turn causes bronchitis and sinusitis frequently. I also developed food allergies after hitting puberty. As a child, I could eat anything that I wanted and not have any problems, but since hitting puberty, I can no longer eat strawberries, banannas, watermelon, or coconut. I also get achey when it is humid, and I always get sick with weather changes. I hope NAET will be beneficial to me.

  • The Bottom LineNAET clashes with the concepts of anatomy, physiology, pathology, physics, and allergy accepted by the scientific community. The story of its "discovery" is highly implausible. Its core diagnostic approach -- muscle testing for "allergies" -- is senseless and is virtually certain to diagnose nonexistent problems. Its recommendations for dietary restrictions based on nonexistent food allergies are likely to place the patient at great risk for nutrient deficiency, and, in the case of children, at risk for social problems and the development of eating disorders. I believe that practitioners who use NAET have such poor judgment that they should not be permitted to remain licensed. If you encounter a practitioner who relies on the strategies described in this article, please ask the state attorney general to investigatequote from:www.chirobase.org/06DD/naet/htmlSAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!

  • I agree, please stop slamming NAET - it is not "implausible" and the research behing NAET is based on both allopathic medicine and Chinese medicine. Dr. Devi Nambudripad is a genius, not a quack. There are many Western allopathic MD's who are also certified NAET practitioners - look them up on their website and read the testimonials. www.naet.com. NAET has helped me with my digestive problems, my asthma (virtually GONE), and so much more. NAET is noninvasive, nontoxic, and works best as an adjunct to Western treatments. It is NOT a cure all, or an alternative to getting Western treatments. It is a fantastic supportive treatment and has helped thousands of people around the world. Most people notice a huge difference after just ONE treatment...I believe it is worth trying at least once, and if you receive no benefit from it, then at least you tried somthing different and there is no harm done whatsoever. Best wishesDOM

  • Someone diagnosed with Lupus needs not to fool around and follow treatment to get their condition under control via their Medical Doctor. Lupus is treatable through alot of different medications to prevent "flare ups" Anyone who would suggest NAET as a treatment for Lupus is liable to cause irreprible damage to such a person. Lupus can and does cause organ damage/failure. See your Doctor and get your condition under control this is your life not a game. Go ahead ask your Doctor about NAET - see what he guides you to do. NAET is not going to help you - thus the whole world would be Lupus free - and every Rheumatologist out of a job.

Yes, of course Lupus is a serious autoimmune disorder. No one has suggested going for NAET treatments to CURE any illness - that is nonsense. NAET is a great supportive treatment and yes, it can really help. So can acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic and naturopathy. By the way, many MD's are also NAET certified. So your doc may in fact know about this form of treatment. "unregistered":The future of medicine is going to include ALL complimentary forms of medicine, whether you want it to or not. Best wishesDOM

  • Hi Annlynn, I too have SLE. Every SLE patient is different. My body is not affected by the weather. Meaning it can be raining and I can have a good day with the Lupus and next time not. It can be sunny and I'm feeling terrible aching and running a fever. So me personally, my Lupus does what it wants when it wants no matter what. Please don't take any of these hocus pocus remedies. If it were that simple to get well with these things we would be all taking them and our rheumatologists would be prescribing them. Stay away from Echinachea (sp) as it flares Lupus. Same with Alfalfa sprouts. Take care,Kacklebird;)

Keeping people sick is a business.Lupus is a bs diagnosis- it does not explain or describe anything- Every lupus patient is different! Autoimmune diseases are the signs of a body full of infections. There is no Lupus w/o infections, sugar addiction, chemical sensitivities, intolerances to essential nutrients.I cheated out my death by diagnosis, when so many in my family have 'blood disorders' and some have died with no remedy.NAET, Bioset, and Oriental Medicine/ Herbs can save you.Learn about Essiac Tea, Dandelion, Milk Thistle, Burdock root, and Omega's.Mar.

  • Hi Ann, Please check with your doctor before trying the holistic route. Lupus is NOT an infection as a member had stated to my posting:confused: . It is where you devlop antibodies against yourself. If it had to do with infection your white blood cells would be elevated. It is in no way any type of "infection". I'm not saying that all herbal treatments are bad, but you must check with your doctor before taking them. If you do go the holistic route make sure he or she is an M.D. Each Lupus patient presents with different issues and symptoms. I think the person that recommended the herbal route hasn't been diagnosed with Lupus if I am remembering correctly. Just be careful and please please listen to your rheumatologist if you have one or need one the Lupus Foundation in your state should be able to help you find one. Take care.

Take care.Stop Assuming.I actually saw my Aunt die of Lupus. My Dad's little sister. I saw the doctor never address the obvious problems.I have a close friend- they keep giving her ANA test results that are elevated. Due to the insistence of a group and her own gut feelings she decided to have a blood test for a whole lot of 'random' infections- heck, she has 3+ infections. She has viruses, mycoplasma, some herpes I didn't even know about. Those infections don't manifest! Instead they replicate in the body, modify the metabolic processes and the doctors don't understand the dynamics. They think that the body is fighting itself with no motive but it is not so. I was about to be given a Lupus diagnosis last year- I had all symptoms. Instead I started making observation of my intolerances of all sort of amino groups. Thanks to the people in this website I decided to visit a doctor of Oriental Medicine. I had at least 3 different infections, I had heavy metal poisoning, and overtime I developed allergies to essential nutrients, sugar, beef, my own hormones, and even my neurotransmitters were overactive.I know how is to live life in a family in which people are dying with blood disorders, polycemia vera, lymphoma, lupus, liver disease, etc- I know now that it is all rooted in infections and toxic exposure! They degenerate the body and the body stop accepting the nutrients.Eventually someone who is desperate to make sense will find this posting.Best,May God Bless,Mar.
