I have a non cancerous lung mass, it started at 2.8cm in june and now is 4cm, I have no symptons or pain in lung, anybody have any ideas what this could be? my pulmonologists is stumped. I went through a median stenectomy because a surgeon cut an artery in a simple broncoscopy, he failed to use ultrasound. I then had the bronscopy with ultrasound after healing some to find there is no cancer in any of the lymph nodes or the mass. I am terrified of having a lobectomy. does anyone think I have a malpractice case?

  • If possible, you need to get a diagnosis by biopsy, either through bronchoscopy or some other way.

Besides cancer, tuberculosis, sarcoidosis and lymphoma are 3 possible causes. You can search online for a "lung mass."
