Hi all, I am school going student and I have some questions about cancer. If you answer the following it will be great appreciated. What is cancer? What do all cancers have in common? What does cancer have to do with cell division? List 5 types of cancer and give a brief explanation of each. What is a tumor? Do all cancers involve tumors? Distinguish between benign and malignant tumors. What is metastasis? Why is it a problem? How many Americans get cancer in their lifetime? Why do some cancer patients lose their hair? What cells are affected by chemotherapy? I know this is a lot but answer what you can....you can also summarize the main ideas of these into a paragraph. Thank you.

  • Well Cancer is not just one disease but many diseases. There are more than 100 different types of cancer. Most cancers are named for the organ or type of cell in which they start. All cancers begin in cells, the body's basic unit of life. To understand cancer, it's helpful to know what happens when normal cells become cancer cells.
