Possible misdgagnosis of Hep A/B...

I was just diagnosed with Hep A and B. I do not have "high risk" sexual behavior and I have had a history of kidney issues. Is it possible that the kidney could be causing filtration issues and lead to a misdiagnoses of acute Hep B?
