i found out in august of 2009 that my father had cirrhosis of the liver due to alcohol any by may of 2010 he had passed away. it was very fast and very difficult to deal with. he was in and out of the hospital every week he had to get his stomach tapped to because it would fill up with fluid and he was so yellow it was scary. towards the end he was so out of it he would talk to us with his eyes closed and then sooner then you knew it he just laid there with his eyes close almost like he was sleeping all the time. it got to the point where his body was in so much pain that we couldnt even touch him. it was very sad and that was the point we had to put him on hospice. saturday may 22 he was put on hospice and by tuesday may 25 he passed. cirrhosis is a terrible disease but in his case could have been prevented. from day one when you find out you have cirrhosis your life is never the same for the person or their familyReply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
