I have read where the liver doesn't growl like our stomachs do, but I believe mine does. It's even slightly palpable from beneath the right side of my rib cage. It can go on for an hour or more, usually when I'm resting.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this...it does sound like a stomach growling, but clearly from the location of the liver. The noises range from burping type to squeels and some I cannot even name.
Yes, I do drink regualarly.
