My wife is 27 and is 16 weeks pregnant. we had her LFT done on 24th Oct and the levels came out to be high Gamma GT (269) SGPT(246) alkaline Phosphate (135). she was taking "Duphasten" at the time to sustain the pregnancy, which was recommended by her gaeynacologist. The physician told her to stop taking it as this was the cause. at 12th nov we repeated her LFT and the results were quite disturbing. Gamma GT(212) SGPT (375) and alkaline Phosphate(153) her Bilirubin direct and indirect are within the normal range.
she also has a complain of itching. No history of jaundice, Normal Appetite, normal Feces and Urine colour. she does not drink. ultrasound of the liver was normal.
can anyone please guide us as to what the problem is. coz even her doctors seem to be unable to understand exactly wat the problem might be. your help would be very much appreciated. please reply as soon as can be, we are really concerned.

  • Hello. I hope your wife is doing well now. Bilirubin is present in the liver if a person has jaundice. Also what was GT-Gamma unit, 217 in ul/mg is way way too much. I'd a similar condition and wrong reports made my case worse.
