My dad is 53 years old. today february 14 is one year and a couple of months since he has stopped drinking. The thing is is that he has cuyrossisof the liover andis dying. We are waiting to be put on the transplant list. As I sit here to write he is in the next room with pain . There no use to go to the hospital because pain is a common symptom and he has pain medication. I give him all his medcation and yet ists not enough. My dad drank his youth away. My dad stopped when it was already to late. Sure he has hope because he will be on the transplant list this week . But yet the pain and suffering i see him go through is alot. We he gets confuse that does not recognize my mom or me it's tuff. When his confuse he wont go to sleep and he will walk around the apartment all night of course me or my mom have to walk with him beacue with the confusuin he might fall. i feed him and give him more medication but it ll depend if were lucky sometimes his confusion will dgo away but other times it wont and when it doe its not a pretty site, because he will do bumber to where ever he is standing, sitting, walking, or infront of the kitchen. when does it stop . My father as o this year hes been hospitalized 4 times. he was sent home on thrusady night. And yet he has another appointment 2morrow with the transplant team. they are very optimistic and give us hope . With a Liver transplant he is suppose to make a full recovery . the thing is that we have to wait. We have to wait . An wait and wait. An the more we wait the worse he gets. He bleed s through his nose , he gets pain, his stomach looks like his pregnat with a whole village, his confusin get s worse his getting the more he looks like death. The sad part is that my dad tells me i dont want to die. So what can i say ? When he caused his early death . My dad looks loke his in his late 60'smaybe 70's . We got all the help we could find for him. He is in the best hands he could be but am only 22 and the sicker he gets the worse we get .Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
