My sister was diagnosed with an end stage liver cancer last December 2009. As everybody knew it is incurable and only miracle would prolong the lives of people who have this kind of cancer. The doctor advised us that my sister should undergo chemotherapy but we don't follow because there is no assurance of it. Our family, relatives, neighbors and friends from all walks of life keep on praying for her. Visitors kept on coming to our house from different sect of religion and have her prayed over for a miracle. And we knew that there is really miracle...GOD is really good if you really have faith. My sister, though with swollen abdomen, legs arms, and jaundice still fights for her life. She was only taking vitamin Aminoloban and just recently Korean Red Ginseng no other pain reliever. Her pain reliever (if there's any) is praying it is really a great relief for her. Honestly speaking, she has not been feeling worse pain, pain is tolerable, if only she over eats and feel bloated. She can still eat whatever she wants...can still attend mass every sunday, and went to grocery. Her sleeping pattern changes, she normally sleeps during daytime to cover up for the lost time that she should be sleeping. She has a positive outlook in life because she knows only God can take her life. Most of her time is with God listening the words of God from the station of El Shaddai. She is not even afraid of death if it comes because she knew that she has a second life with God. She has leave it up to God who gave her life.

We always keep her company and always showed love and we don't let her enter negative thoughts.

  • My 52 year old brother just passed away from small cell-liver cancer. He was diagnosed 10 months ago. He got chemo from Aug 09 til April '10. It did nothing. The liver only got worse and became completely deteriorated. He was not a drinker and did not have cirrhosis. He did have thyroid cancer which is where doctors atUPMC and Cleveland Clinic think his cancer originated. He was pretty good until about 3 weeks before he died. He became jaundiced, bloated, and disoriented. He really went quickly from Fri. night to Sun. morning when he died-June 6, 2010
