First let me say the waelth of info. onthis site is astounding-thank you.
Our problem........my father-in-law was admitted to a CT hospital over a week ago, bleeding easily confusion, brusises, etc. We did know he has a AAA stomach aneurysm, the doc's first thought it was caused by that and wanted to operate immedtaely, another doc disagreed and said he's so sick he'd never make it through the operation. It is now 5 days later and after running a gamut of tests they found his liver is severely damaged, but why?
He used to drink, not terribly heavily, but maybe twice per week, but quit 20 years ago, in that time he was 100% fine, how all of a sudden could he lose 60 pounds in three weeks and go downhill so fast? This man was a police officer with a law degree, now he cannot finish a sentence. It is heartbreaking.
Can anyone give me some info. these doctors are still refusing to make a diagnosis and I thought should have done a hep C test last week, they just ran one a day ago and of course, no results yet.
Any info. is greatly appreciated.
