24 female with mildly enlarged liver

My pain stemmed from an ovarian cyst that was extremely painful in February. Went to the doctor for tests and ultrasound when the discovered my liver was mildly enlarged at 17.5.

My cyst is gone and no problems, but I have this constant discomfort / fullness feeling in my right side - just below the rib cage, near the belly button.

I had a complete blood workup, and the found nothing. Everything is normal (liver function tests normal, no hepatitis or cancer etc.) The only thing they found was a slightly abnormal ERC (which measures non-specific cause for inflammation) which was 22 (normal should be no higher than 20).

I'm at a loss. The doctor said both things are normal and he says I'm fine but I still have this constant discomfort in my abdomen.

I don't smoke, I'm healthy weight, I eat healthy, I drink no more than my friends do (max 5 - 7 drinks a week). I don't get it!!

What's causing my enlarged liver and why doesn't my doctor think it's serious??

Thanks for any responses, and thanks for letting me rant / vent.

I should also add I have no fever, no yellowing of skin, no fatigue etc.

  • Lots of things in modern life can irritate/inflame a liver... A "lawgirl"... Do you dry clean a lot of your clothes? They will offgass "perc" (perchloroethylene) for weeks after they come home from the cleaners. Perc is a dreadful liver toxin, and any alcohol (or Tylenol) at all will "potentiate" the harmful effects. If you wear a lot of dry cleaned clothes, you breath that fluid all day, and if those clothes hang in your closet at night, you breath that stuff while you sleep too! Hang your dry cleaned clothes in the closet of your spare bedroom and crack the window in your room at night. Don't wear freshly dry cleaned clothes for a week or so after they come back from the cleaners. I imagine lawyer types might suffer from a lot of headaches... Do you take a lot of Tylenol? Very nasty to the liver. Especially when combined with other toxins (alcohol, dry cleaning fluid etc.). If you're on the heavy side, a "fatty liver" is likely. Fatty liver is epidemic in America now and doctors are just now starting to report how often they are seeing it. No matter what's wrong with your liver, PPC (polyenylphosphatidylcholine), brand names "PhosChol" and "HepatoPro" will fix it. PPC is such a powerful liver protectant, it even works against carbon tetrachloride poisoning in animal studies. It's only sold online right now, and it's not cheap, but it will fix your liver. Please do some research on this, and you will see, PPC is well documented by many legitimate scientific studies as the most powerful liver supplement ever known. Dr C. S. Lieber did a lot of research with PPC and the liver. Include his name in your searches for best results. No, I don't sell this stuff, I just tell people about it... I had some liver problems mixing alcohol with chemicals I was exposed to at work. PPC fixed me up, and I spread the word on this as much as I can. I can't believe American doctors haven't discovered this stuff yet... They've been prescribing it in Europe for decades under the name "Essentiale Forte". Good Luck, & GodSpeed to you!
