my father has just been diagnoised with leukemia, at this time we are not sure which chronic leukemia it is. The test results have not come in yet. The doctor has put him on hold until the first of the year. Can you tell me what the difference in the chronic leukemias.

  • There are two types of chronic leukemias--myeloid, and lymphatic. Simply put, this just refers to the areas of the body where they initiate. There is a mild variance in the symptoms between CML and CLL, but the treatment options remain pretty much the same. If you want something more specific, just reply and let me know.
