Some time ago I was in a bad car accident, never went to doctor. I also sit alot as I am enrolled in an online college course. On occasion I get either shooting pain/tingling in my rear thigh area. It seems like it might be coming from my lower back or spine area, dont know for sure. Bed rest does not alleviate pain/tingling. Started last night and woke up with pain/tingling again. Any ideas to alleviate pain and/or do you have any clue what it causing this? What should I do? Thanks Liz:(

  • Car accidents can cause spinal problems afterwards, sometimes it doesn't manifest until many months later. Do you have buttock pain that radiates down your leg, thigh area? This is called sciatica and it can be very painful and "nervy". Please try acupuncture to help with your pain. I first got interested in acupuncture 14 years ago when I had acute sciatica. Docs just gave me muscle relaxants, which I promptly threw up from using them. I went to an acupuncturist, and after only 2 treatements the pain was completely GONE! I cannot tell you how amazing that felt. I am now an Oriental practitioner and have treated lots of patients with spinal injuries related to car accidents. It can really help!
