I fell this past winter, destroying 50% of my left knee cartilage and cracking my kneecap (not into two pieces, but close!). My specialist says I have mild to moderate OA as a result. I take Ibuprofen for swelling but it hasn't done anything. I take Tylenol with codeine for the constant pain. My leg swells daily even though I ice multiple times a day, every day. I have also started having sharp pains in my upper thigh. I have been checked for DVT when my whole leg went numb one day, but they didn't find anything and told me to take it easy for a day. Super helpful. I have an overnight flight to Paris this week and I'm afraid my leg will explode. Everything I've read says it shouldn't be a problem to fly, but I've also been having some sharp chest pains during this past week. Anxiety? Should I wear compression socks (I own a pair) or will they cause a blood clot? Ack! Any help would be great.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
