I have had this weird feeling for the past week. It feels like my toe is constantly asleep, or numb all of the time. I haven't gone to the doctor yet, I just didn't know if anyone has ever heard of something like this happening. I think, by looking at other threads, I should get my Thyroid checked out. I have been having so many problems with my sugar, and it is not diabeties. Any suggestions?? Please let me know:)

  • I have the same thing happen to one of my toes in the winter. It isn't there all the time though, only after I have been out in the cold for awhile. Somebody told me it was because I might have broken my toe in the past, which I don't ever remember doing but it might have happened. Have you hurt that toe recently? Also, I would check this out. It could be that you have nerve damage or something. http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/toe_numbness.htm

  • Nah, I haven't done that. I went to my Chiropractor and he said that my middle back was really out of line and was probably the cause of the numbness. He said that or it was my circulation. No problems since he did my back so far.

  • I have had the same thing periodically for over 30 years. My right big toe goes numb. I also periodically get a sensation of shocks in that same big toe. I do think it is some type of nerve damage. see http//www.mayoclinic.com/health/peripheral-neuropathy/BN00046 I have printed this article and will take it to my doctor next time I go.
